Remainder of the Season
Mon January 26 2009 @ 10:48 AMI just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the schedule past the end of the regular season in early February. It looks like we will be qualifying for the playoffs assuming we finish ahead of St. Johns in our division (which given both teams remaining schedules looks likely). Playoffs would most likely start in Mid February (as soon as I get the dates I will get them out to everyone).
We will also be in a couple of year-end tournaments. One at Holy Cross in New Jersey (Feb 15,16,17,19,24&26 are the dates and we would play on 3 of those days) and Holy Ghost (probably single elimination) is going to host one as well. Someone mentioned St. Ephrems was thinking about having one as well but I have not heard from them.
The boys are really starting to play well. We played with a very strong St. Andrews team in the first half on Saturday and defensively did a good job in the second half but couldn't get the ball in the basket. We will continue to Practice Tues and Thursday nights in February and may try to throw a few extra in before playoffs or find a scrimmage or two.
