SKS Football - Updates for Sept 15
Tue September 15 2009 @ 09:31 AMJust a few updates for the upcoming week(s): - As it is getting dark a bit earlier now, our practice time(s) is now 6:00 - 7:30 PM, Tuesday thru Friday.
Our 1st League game is Saturday (Sept 19), HOME vs. St. Anastasia
Kick-off times are 10:00 AM for 7th & 8th and 11:30 for 5th & 6th, BUT
7th & 8th players are to be at the field by 9:00 AM
5th & 6th players are to be at the field by 10:45 AM
Friday (Sept 18th) is the Back to School Block Party at St. Katharine's School - to coordinate players being able to attend, our practice time for this Friday will be 5:15 - 6:30 PM.
The "A" League Schedule has been released and is posted on Wagdogs. I expect the "B" schedule for our 5th & 6th grade team to be released by the end of this week. As soon as it is released, I will post it to the Wagdogs' site. The A Schedule is:
Sept. 19 - HOME - St. Anastasia
Sept. 26 - AWAY - St. Dorothy
October 3 - HOME - St. Denis
October 10- HOME - St. Joseph (Downingtown)
October 17- AWAY - St. Francis
October 23- AWAY - St. Thomas the Apostle (Night Game at Garnet Valley HS)
October 31- AWAY - Sacred Heart (Manoa)
November 7- Playoffs - Round 1
November 14-Playoffs - Round 2
November 21-22 - Parade of Champions / Coaches' Invitational Bowl
Jacque and Steve Palaontonio and Tom and Jane Dooner have stepped up to organize the snack bar that we have at Home games. If you can help them out, either contact Jacque at Jtpr4@aol.com or stop by the snack bar at this week's game. The ideal set-up is for 5th & 6th grade parents to help during the 7th & 8th grade games, and for 7th & 8th grade parents to help during the 5th & 6th grade games.
