Here is the preliminary information for the 2009 Spring Track Season

Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Radnor HS. Practices start at 6:00 PM and will last about 1 hour. Our first practice will be on March 17 (you can wear green if you feel obligated).

Meets will once again be held on Sunday afternoons. Our region has experienced some changes this year, MDP is no longer in our region and therefore we will NOT run meets at Upper Merion HS. All of our regional meets this year are scheduled to be held at Haverford HS. Meets start around 1:00 PM and should be done by 4:00 PM. Since we only have one facility to conduct the meets, we will have all schools at the practice meets each Sunday. This will require some flexibility with scheduling and most importantly, ensuring that we have adequate volunteers. Stay tuned for how the coaches best determine how to accomplish the equivalent of a regional meet each week!

Some other changes from prior years: new events! We will contest a 4x200 relay. Also we are going to attempt to run a high jump at the meets.

We have about 30 boys and girls signed up for the season. I am looking forward to getting going. The wagdogs site did not allow registration for sub-novices, we are still going to allow sub-novices to compete. We will have paper registrations to ensure that relevant contact information is captured, I would prefer to limit this to past participants and siblings, just to keep the numbers manageable, but neighbors and classmates are certainly welcome. I am just not going to publicize.
