Penn Relays 2009
Sat April 18 2009 @ 01:57 PMWe are running SEVEN teams in the Penn Relays this Tuesday, April 21, 2009. The Penn Relays is the country's oldest and most prestigious relay carnival, and carnival is the right word! Tuesday night the CYO takes over Franklin Field. The age groups are slightly different, only Juniors and Seniors, based on birth year.
I have entered the following teams:
Junior Girls: Allison Snarponis, Maura Dougherty, Annie McShea, Samantha Talucci and Sofi Sowden Senior Girls: Margot Steely, Callie Fisher, Lia Goodwin and Devin Worthington Junior Boys: Jack Rooney, Callaghan Hanson, Jack ALbro and Brian Long Senior Boys: Bryan Chesky, Jake Lowry, Danny Snarponis, and Andrew Weiner
Junior Girls: CJ Dawson, Aileen Manion, Riley Powers, and Lydia Sydnor Senior Girls: Allison Casale, Rachel Harper, Caroline Manion, Alyson Makous Senior Boys: Declan Evans, Watty Hanson, Addy Hanson, Derek Mountain and Brice Sydnor
If there are 5 names, one is an alternate.
I would like to schedule a special practice on Monday night for these children. Can we meet at RHS at 6:00? Please let me know.
The meet schedule for Tuesday is:
5:45 athletes allowed on the field to warmup 6:00 Coaches meeting 6:15 Athletes clear the field 6:30 First Race: Junior girls
Each race probably takes 2-3 minutes to contest, there are 13 heats of the junior girls, 13 heats of the junior boys, 14 heats of the senior girls, and 14 heats of the senior boys. The Meet program is available on-line at http://philacyotrack.blogspot.com/
