Fri December 05 2008 @ 01:24 PMHi, Girls - Below is a message from Mr. Latt to see if you can spare a few hours this weekend for the Christmas Bazaar. The more of you that volunteer, the less hours everyone needs to put out. Keep in mind, you must do community service for school and CYO. This will count towards that! You can get back to him directly.
I've noticed a few more registrations...we now have 8 girls registered... Megan Liz Noreen Jessica Bridget Jul Looby Maura Alex Shute
Again, I'm reminding you that you need to have this done by Sunday's game. We're playing at St. Rob's (Warrington) at 6:15. Please be there by 5:45. If you won't be able to make it, please let me know asap. Please wear last year's shirt. Liz & Jessica, I will bring one for you.

Bob, On Saturday, December 6th, our CYO will be selling poinsettias, sports clips, lottery tickets and candles at the Christmas Tree Festival. Unfortunately, we only have about three people that volunteered to sell during the day. I can't be there in the morning because we are taking Kathleen to look at the University of Delaware. I have asked for volunteers and so far no one has responded, neither parent nor member. As I'm sure you know, we rely on fundraising to offset the costs of our athletics program and the response by our school and parish families has been disappointing. If we can't get anyone to sell at the Christmas Tree Festival, CYO won't be able to send any basketball team to a tournament this Christmas. Basketball is the most costly of our sports programs; with gym rental, team registrations, ref fees, uniforms, etc. we go into the hole every year. Please forward this message to all basketball coaches and ask them to solicit parent or player volunteers to work the tables on Saturday. Please remind high school coaches that five hours of community service are required to play CYO sports per the CYO and Father Murray. If you have any questions you can reach me at pdougherty@stbasilacademy.orgduring the day. Talk to you soon and thanks. Patti St Hilary CYO President
Players & Parents, If the sole purpose of our CYO program is only sports, then we have failed as an organization.
The Christmas Festival is this Saturday from 9AM - 2PM. Please consider grabbing a friend and/or parent/child and spend an hour or two helping out. Please respond to Patti Dougherty, 'BeKaEm@aol.com' and me 'rrlatt@comcast.net' at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your help, Bob Lattanzi St Hilary CYO AD
