Thursday Night

Hey all! Thank you Regina Connor for getting the coaches back up and running on here...

Thursday night we have our final game - 5:15 @ St. Dennis.

Immediately following the game we will all caravan over to Garret Hill Pizza for an end of the year party. Parents are certainly welcome!

I understand Mark, Ryan, and Kyle will have to miss because of the St. Joe's game, but I think they have pretty good pizza down at the palestra too!

What a weekend!

Hey Guys -

Great weekend! Sorry I was out of town and had to miss those two AWESOME wins. Coach Koerick told me all about it. You guys must have realllllly played well to be able to win with him at the helm, thats an uphill battle from the start! Way to Go!

Tomorrow's practice, due to some scheduling re-arrangements is going to be moved. Instead of our normal practice time at St. Mary's, we will practice from 7:45 - 9:15 @ st. katharines.

Next Saturday

Hey guys -

I know I sent a note last week about our team mass and winter coat drive this coming saturday.

After mass, we will drop off all of the hats, coats, gloves etc.. in the cafeteria and there will be a pizza party ready for us. I need to get a head-count for the pizza party, so if everyone wouldn't mind just giving me yes or no for saturday that would be great.

Winter Coat Drive

Below is the email I recieved from Kim Campbell regarding the clothing drive we are doing as our basketball service project. All the details are included in her note. This works out well because that same day 1/24, the three B teams will be doing our team mass together. That being said, saturday 1/24 we will be attending the 5pm mass as a team, and then head over to the cafeteria to drop off the coats, hats, gloves etc..

We play a home game the following day @ 2:15.

See you all tonight at St. Mary's from 6-7:30

Coaches, We will be collecting new or lightly worn winter coats for men as well as hats/gloves. Please ask your players to BAG the coats etc.(preferably in a brown bag) and clearly label the contents and size. These bags are set on shelves according to size and easily distributed to the needy at John's Hospice.

Immediately following the 5:00 Saturday evening mass on Jan.24 your players can drop off their donations and enjoy pizza in the cafeteria. Thankyou! Kim Campbell

guys -

Coach Koerick and myself were very impressed with the way you responded in the second half on sunday. After such a poor start you guys took the criticism well and turned it around. I was proud.

Tommorow night we have practice from 6-7:30 at St. Mary's (Villanova). See you all then, have a great week.

Guys -

Two BIG games on sunday! The more important one in my mind is SKS Vs. ST Dennis!

I know the Eagles Giants game is played on sunday - here's the thing - I am a HUGE packers fan, and Im still a bit upset about our lack of existance in the playoffs, sooo our bball game is on.

Ok - well thats not the only reason the game will be played, couple reasons... I talked to the coach over at st. dennis and unfortunately for both of us gym time is at a premium. So we moved the game up to 12: 30 and hopefully everyone will be on the couch at home at 1:45.

Hopefully no one has a problem with this, but it will just make it that much better of a day with 2 Wins.

Tuesday 1/6

Guys-

Coach Matt and myself were out of town this past week, and thanks to Bill Flick we were able to play our game yesterday, and figures we get our first win! all coaching! Great job boys, let's keep it up.

Tommorow night, tuesday January 6th, we will NOT be at St. Mary's as it says on the schedule.

We will be going to St. John Newman for a scrimmage, just to get some added "game like" experience.

This will be from 6-7 at St. John Newman.

Hey Guys -

Hope everyone had a great christmas and is gearing up for the new year!

Now posted on wagdogs is the schedule for games and practices for the remainder of the year. If there are any questions please let me know.

There is no practice this week, we pick back up with a game this coming sunday the 4th. Coach Matt and myself will both be out of town, so we are working on a fill-in. After that we pick up with our regular tuesday practices and our game schedule becomes more regular as well.

Looking forward to a lot of wins in 09!

Friday Night

Hey Guys-

Sorry for the extremely short notice last night, but luckily (thank you to Mrs. Bowman) we got the call out to everyone. I was couped up in the office yesterday and wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to the weather, and then on my way to the gym I decided to play it safe and call practice. Hopefully it wasnt a HUGE inconveinence to anyone.

Luckily, we did get some gym time at SKS on Friday evening from 6:15-7:45. Then on sunday we get our first win at home at 2:15.

Again, sorry for the confusion last night, if anyone had any problems, I blame coach Matt again.

This coming week

Guys-

Another tough one for us yesterday, but a lot of good things came out of it. You guys played really hard and we are getting some great experience playing these close games and eventually we will start coming out on top. Win or lose you guys played as hard as I could ask and thats what matters, great job!

There is NO GAME tonight, it didn't work out with the other coach, so I will keep you posted as to when that game will be re-scheduled.

We do have practice tommorow 12/16 at St. Mary's. The two tuesdays following that we are off because of the holidays, and then we pick back up 1/6.

In terms of games we play sunday at 2:15 at SKS.

Again great work this weekend boys, we are moving in the right direction.

Sorry to hit you with another email but I need some feedback. Next thursdays game has to be re-scheduled because of the christmas show which a lot of the boys are in.

Does Monday the 15th at 7:30 work for everybody?

Practices

Hey Guys - hopefully this wagdogs is working out for everybody ok. I personally haven't really figured out how to post events or our schedule, thats coach matt's department.

So this is my way of doing it.

Just an update of what we have this weekend, and then our practice times going forward..

Tonight, practice from 6:30-8 at sks. Sunday 2:30 game at SKS (i promise i wont screw this one up!)

Our practice night that we were given was Tuesday, so going forward we will practice from 6-7:30 on tuesdays at St. Mary's gym, on Villanova's campus.

we have those practices 12/16, 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, and 2/24, so you can mark them on your calender. I am lobbying for a couple more practice times so i will keep you all posted, but as for now that is what we have.

where is st marys? If you are at the stop light at rt 30 and rt 320, you go up the hill on rt 320 where the gas station is on the corner and villanovas main campus is now on your right, you go all the way up to the light at county line road. Make a left onto county line and then a quick left into the gates, it is the villanova nursing building. Once your through those gates there you make another quick left and circle around to the back and the gym is in the basement there.

Thursdays Practice.. Again

Alright Guys, Heres the deal...

It was brought to my attention earlier that tommorow evening at the same time as our practice, the K-4th grade christmas show is also going on in the church, but they will be using the gym for preparations and what not. So, I am not certain how much if any of the gym we would be able to use.

With all that said, as if I havent arranged and re-arranged and confused everyone enough, we are going to CANCEL tommorows practice for good.

We will just have practice Friday from 6:30-8pm... hopefully that will be enough practice time for you guys to beat into my head that if you don't have any timeouts left it is not a good idea to call one!

due to a few requests to cut practice a little short tommorow evening due to the Villanova vs St. Joes game, we are going to practice from 6:30 - 7:45 as opposed to 8 pm.
